Don't Dream It's Over - Sixpence None The Richer

Di dunia musik cover version atau menyanyikan ulang lagu orang lain sudah biasa dan sering dilakukan para musisi dari berbagai aliran musik. Lagu lawas yang dinyanyikan ulang selalu dibuat dengan format yang lebih menarik ketimbang dari versi aslinya.
 

Pada kesempatan kali ini saya akan share lirik, dan video salah satu lagu cover version yang saya suka. Judulnya “Don’t Dream It’s Over”. Crowded House lah yang pertama kali mempopulerkan lagu keren ini pada tahun 1985. Karena lagunya memang enak untuk didengar dan dinikmati, kemudian pada tahun 1991 Paul Young juga merilis ulang lagu ini. Tak ketinggalan pula grup band asal Amerika Serikat Sixpence None The Richer juga merilis ulang lagu “Don’t Dream It’s Over” untuk mengisi album mereka yang berjudul “Divine Discontent” yang dirilis pada tahun 2002. Namun versi dari Sixpence None The Richer ini menurut saya yang paling mengena dan tidak ngebosenin untuk dinikmati.

Halo semuanya…! Bagaimana kabar kalian hari ini? Saya harap kalian semua dalam keadaan sehat dan tak kurang suatu apapun juga. Sudah lama sekali saya tidak memposting lirik lagu. Kali ini saya akan memposting lirik dan terjemahan lagu “Reflection” yang menjadi Original Sountrack film animasi "Mulan" yang disenandungkan oleh diva Amerika Serikat, Christina Aguilera. "Mulan" bercerita tentang seorang gadis yang menyamar menjadi laki-laki dan mendaftar jadi tentara. Semua itu terpaksa dia lakukan untuk menggantikan ayahnya yang sudah tua dan sakit-sakitan agar tidak ikut dalam perang. Memang harus kita akui terkadang lingkungan memaksa kita berpura-pura menjadi orang lain, dan celakanya, kita tak mampu melawan arus itu karena tak ingin kehilangan orang yang kita sayangi.
