Setelah hingar bingar Grammy Awards di Amerika Serikat, dari panggung musik Inggris Raya baru saja usai digelar Brit Awards 2016. Ajang tahunan penghargaan bagi insan musik Brit Awards ke-36, yang sering disebut Grammy Awards-nya Inggris, berlangsung di London's O2 Arena, Rabu (24/2/2016) waktu setempat.

Adele kembali sukses besar tahun ini di acara Brit Awards 2016. Masuk menjadi nominasi di empat kategori berkat kesuksesan dari penjualan album terbarunya “25”, Adele berhasil membawa pulang piala di kategori British Female Solo Artist,  British Single, British Album of the Year. Sedangkan kategori British Artist Video, Adele harus merelakan piala tersebut jatuh ke tangan One Direction melalui lagu “Drag Me Down”. Kategori British Artist Video tahun lalu juga berhasil disabet One Direction untuk lagu mereka yang berjudul “You & I”. Penyelenggara Brit Awards malam itu juga menganugerahkan “BRITs Global Success” kepada Adele. David Bowie yang belum lama ini meninggal dunia juga menerima penghargaan sebagai musisi legendaris.
