The 89th Academy Awards |
Emma Stone akhirnya terpilih menjadi "Best Actress" sesuai dengan
prediksi banyak orang berkat aktingnya di film "La La Land". Dia berhasil
menyisihkan aktris lainnya yang masuk nominasi termasuk aktris senior Meryl
Streep. Film drama komedi musikal tersebut di Academy Awards tahun ini memimpin
dengan memperoleh 14 nominasi, tapi cuma berhasil membawa pulang 6 piala Oscar
yaitu Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best
Production Design serta Best Cinematography. Gelar ‘Best Picture’ jatuh ke
tangan film ‘Moonlight’. Film 'Moonlight' sukses mengalahkan delapan film lain.
Di antaranya "Fences", "Manchester By The Sea", "Hacksaw Ridge", "Arrival", "Hidden Figures", "Lion", "Hell or High Water" juga "La La Land".
Tahun ini pihak penyelenggara Oscar juga menganugerahi Academy
Honorary Awards kepada Jackie Chan, Anne V. Coates, Lynn Stalmaster
dan Frederick Wiseman atas dedikasinya di dunia perfilman.
