Pemenang MTV EMA 2020

The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards

Ajang penghargaan MTV Europe Music Awards 2020 atau biasa dikenal MTV EMA 2020 baru saja berlangsung pada Minggu (8/11/2020) malam waktu setempat atau Senin (9/11/2020) dini hari di Indonesia. Nama-nama pemenang pun telah diumumkan dalam ajan yang dipandu oleh Little Mix. Tapi hanya tiga anggota grup yang muncul yaitu Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock dan Jade Thirlwall yang muncul. Sedangkan Jesy Nelson berhalangan hadir pada malam itu karena alasan kesehatan. Karena pandemi Covid-19 yang sedang berlangsung, maka penyelenggaraan acara tersebut dilaksanakan di berbagai kota di dunia yaitu London dan Budapest. Acara penghargaan musik global tahun ini menambahkan tiga kategori baru yaitu Best Latin, Video for Good dan Best Virtual Live.

MTV EMA 2020 menobatkan Lady Gaga  sebagai Best Artist. Pemilik album Chromatica itu berhasil mengalahkan Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus dan The Weeknd. Tahun ini, Lady Gaga memimpin perolehan nominasi MTV EMA 2020 dengan masuk tujuh kategori, di mana tiga diantaranya adalah lagu kolaborasinya dengan Ariana Grande yang berjudul Rain on Me.
